Probably been asked before but I couldn't see it..

I polished up my stainless steel a few weeks back with metal polish and today when I was down there I noticed there are already light brown marks starting to form on it.. Is there a "wax" type polish for stainless steel that will slow the marking process and keep it looking good for longer?

This works well - http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/blackfire-all-metal-sealant-cat20.html

However, the above (and all other stainless sealers / waxes) will perform relative to the 'close up' condition of the metal.
Just like gel coat or paint, if the surface is micro scratched, very common for stainless on a boat, then the product used for protection / interaction will have its durability affected.

If the reflection is spot on, all products will work much better, but I can highly rec the above product, once the stainless is fully polished / burnished.

Lanox its sheeps wool works like wd40
Lanolin is a natural wax found in animal wool especially the wool from sheep, commonly referred as 'WOOL FAT' or 'WOOL GREASE', it has wide spread uses, cosmetics, medical, soaps, etc. Down through the centuries the Egyptians, Romans, Vikings, sailors and soldiers alike all used lanolin as a very effective anti- corrosion and waterproofing agent for a variety of metals, materials, timbers, to protect sails, leather, cannons, etc. Although we make INOX, a quality anti-corrosion lubricant, there are areas where a lanolin based anti-corrosion lubricant like LANOX is sometimes better suited for the application at hand.
LANOX is a heavy duty anti-moisture, anti-corrosion lubricant made with a high grade lubricating oil and lanolin base with specialized chemical compounds.
LANOX contains no silicon, kerosene, acids or dieselene.
LANOX is harmless to metal points & surfaces, plastics, painted & enamel finishes, fibreglass, formica, rubber or neoprene seals.
LANOX doesn't become sticky, gooey or gum up.
LANOX is non-conductive, non-static & non-corrosive.
LANOX has neutral properties, low flammability (NON-AEROSOL)
great stuff.

Without doubt, the best product for this is Corrosion X. It is made for stainless steel. It completely prevented the brown marks on our stainless and lasts a very long time. Spray on a rag and wipe on. Couldn't be easier.
