Hi folks
i just purchased a prospect 900 with an electric toilet
the problem is everytime i press the button it is blowing a fuse and not emptying
has anybody had the same issue ? or any help would be great thanks

Assuming that the fuse is adequately rated then the pump or discharge pipe may be blocked scale or worse, in which case the solution is obvious, or, if you're unlucky the electric motor is faulty.

My boat came with an electric fresh water flushing via a macerator into a large holding tank toilet that I dismantled & cleaned twice before swapping it out for a separator loo with which nothing can go wrong. So my suggestion FWIW would be replace it with something simpler, for me that would be a Lavac if you want a sea loo or a separator/composting/Porta Potti arrangement.
Normally when I say this somebody who has an electric toilet takes offence so just to be clear this is simply a suggestion...(y)

A boat I’ve recently purchased as a project came with an electric toilet. Didn’t work so stripped it out changed the through hull fittings and fitted a new manual toilet bought from Force4 for £114.00. Not fitted it yet but looks like all the rest. Less to go wrong!!

Hi Folks everything is sorted the culprit was cheap wiring dropping the voltage ne wiring installed and all working 100 per cent thanks to all who replied

It's not what you want to hear, but 12 electrics on a small yacht are dodgy at best. I'd not dream something as vital to comfort afloat should be associated with a battery bank. My ancient Lavac, couples with a very reliable hand pump is hugely reliable and requires Zero Wriggly amps.
