I need to renew my shaft,its 1"x50"any ideas on where i can get one?Thanks.

T.Norris-London, Lakeland Engineering Poole, Sillette Sonic- need to google to find these although also advertise in the mags. If you google for prop. suppliers you will normally find they also do shafts.

Lake Engineering were excellent when they made mine last year for about £350 (about 1 metre x 25 mm) if I remember correctly. I sent the required length and flange and the prop. They made the new shaft and machined the previously incorrect taper in the propellor and machined the flange and supplied the cutless bearing. I also had a new flexible "hose" for the sterngland and a new GRP sterntube from them the year before.
