The Argyll and Bute Council website appears to be working normally again and is apparently still accepting submissions HERE.

They say they have not lost any of the original submissions.

(If you misssed the first thread and don't know what this is about: Oban Bay Marine have had to submit a new planning application for the proposed Oban transit marina because there have been a few changes to the original plans. Primarily these are making it a piled marina rather than anchoring the pontoons, and moving the pedestrian access from the North Pier to the Esplanade.

More details on the Oban Bay Marine website

Various groups have been trying to get a marina established in Oban for 30 years, but the Council are somewhat anti-yacht and have blocked every attempt in spite of repeated presentations showing how much money a 'walk ashore' berthing facility could bring into the town.)

Something has happened as my submission and at least one other is now missing. I recognise many of the more publicly known names and knew where my name and the other person was in relation to these other people. I have been through the 140 odd submissions.

So that is at least two people now missing from the documents and from the list of contributors.

I can't be bothered anymore, the anchor or North Pier will do as usual.

Just as a quick question - what are the proposals for the marina during the storms which seem to lash the seafront with some ferocity ... ?

Are they going to build sea defences or propose to dismantle the marina in prep for the unsettled season(s) ?

My words of wisdom have been vapourised :(

Despite my claim to giving up I sent them an email stating that my submission has went missing. I also noted the name of the person who I noticed was also missing. I took the opportunity to reiterate my own position and requested that it be considered if the original web based submission is gone for ever.

Interesting, though my name appears on the list, the submission is actually missing from the documents section as are most of the others. I am assuming they have yet to complete scanning in the copy docs.

I received an email from the planning department saying that the application had been withdrwan and resubmitted with a minor change and that if I wanted my comments to be against the new application I just needed to advise them by replying to the email requesting it.

You are very privileged then - most of us got a letter saying we had to resubmit.
