"If it isn't broken don't fix it" This should be the motto as It is not our British way to meekly accept bureaucratic decisions for the sake of a blanket policy easy to understand by amatuer politicians. (unlike the continental citizen who is used to accept such high handed government) If our goverment understood this they would definitly recognise a huge potential body of the public they can possibly alienate. We British still at heart, cherish our freedoms and thus distrust bureaucracy much more than our continental cousins. If the poor overworked police have to enforce this at a later date when the law is in place there will be another reason for the public to dislike them which is so against our traditions. Lets tell our smart ass political managers to not mess with us for no good reason. Sincerely, Mike Earnshaw
