Propguard

Has anyone had experience with fitting one of these plastic propguards to an outdrive. I have a Shetland 640 that wanders at low speed and I've been advised that a propguard would be helpful /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

it should work, the guard will direct all the water/force straight forward or aft and stop walking sideways and gain power lost from water forced upward by the prop as the blade reaches verticle. you may see a drop in top speed, perhaps not, but should see more power while dockingas well as faster stopping.

Thanks Bruce, That seems to be the idea generally expressed. I'm just about sold and will try to see one in action in the next couple of weeks
