Propeller Swap

Hi there, we are looking to replace the propeller in our workboat with one with more pitch as it is very slow and reaches full revs very quickly.

We have found a second hand propeller of correct pitch and diameter, only it is left handed instead of right. Can i just swap over the cables to the gearbox or will it damage the gearbox / run too slow? Engine is a Sole Mini 17.

Depends on two things. First whether the gearbox is rated for continuous running in both directions. Second, reverse may well be a different ratio from forward so your new prop may not be right anyway.

Either get the correct prop or have your existing prop repitched.
