How long would Penta Alu A6 props in sea water all year doing around 70 hours per annum be expected to last? I just thew a blade today and wonder if mine are time expired......

If anyone has any they want to part with (props not blades), please let me know!

I have a spare used A6 rear (the four bladed one) sitting in the garage.
It's not perfect (some small areas of pitting) but still serviceable.

Could be anything from a year to ten years. Depends on how your boat is earthed, whether there are any lumps of steel close and how well you service/paint the props each year.
As soon as the galvanic effect gets to the ali, it's just a question of time. Keep it off and you can sigh in relief.
It's always the outers that go first. My inners have hardly been touched in 10 years.

Good luck!

If you have a decent amount of blade left on hub contact Steel Development about £50 to fix inc P&P
Ebay always has duo props and Coastal rides are flogging off a lot of bankrupt dealer stock at the moment.
My props (SP) have been repaired at least six times (lost count) over last 8 years and they were ancient when boat bought.
