I have an interest in propellor (and saildrive) treatment. I can achieve about 2 years life with AF on the hull but I'm lucky to get 1 year from the prop and saildrive - thus I need to take action dictated by the prop. I've tried Prop Speed, Prop Gold (now called Prop One), Velox and Trilux - none get close to my 2 year ideal. You cannot say I have not tried.

There was a thread recently when I was introduced to Seajet and specifically Seajet 034. I mentioned in the thread that I would follow up on Seajet 034 - which I have done.

It appears Seajet 034 is not yet approved in Australia - but it is under scrutiny with the focus being - approval.

Now there has been mention of Pellerclean, on YBW, also sold under the Seajet brand.

This is my updated information:

"Please be informed the different between SEAJET PELLERCLEAN and Triple pack is that our PELLERCLEAN is a foul release coating. What you said is true, in our triple pack, we have SEAJET 034 A. It is a self-polishing antifouling which also can be used for hull. We made the SEAJET Pellerclean optimal for use on the propeller. The set included a 2 component harder and a clear coat, also a manual, 2 stirring sticks and we have a video online ‘how to use Pellerclean’ Please see below link:

There might be some linguistic issues, I live in Australia with a multicultural society most of whom are multilingual - I have no issues with linguistics mistakes - I'm from the UK and speak English.....only......with a Scots accent. :)

I wondered if I might solicit experiences with Seajet - specifically Seajet 034 or Pellerclean.

Seajet is the brand name of Chugoku Paints B.V the Dutch subsidiary of a Japanese surface coating company.

My intention is to obtain samples and try it, whichever is the most sensible route. I will post progress and results here - but I'd like to develop a rapport with Seajet/Chugoku primed with as much information as I can develop

With many thanks

Jonathan

For the prop, I would get it coppoer plated - I have had mine done and just requires a bit of ploishing each year. Best £70 I ever spent on antifoul
