Prop repair

Eveninng all.

My foldingprop has a 1cm crack along the line of the grub screw holding the spindle for the blade in place. I think 20 years ago it was drilled too close to the edge , the metal is only 1mm thick.

I know French at Brightlingsea can repair it but at an enormous expense. Has anybody else tried other engineers in the past in the Colchester area.

Thanks. I have used them in the past and very pleased but needed somewhere nearer to home. i have found a oneman band in Lawford , he was sorry to be busy but will do it tomoorrow. service with a smile.

Was the repair at Lawford successful? If so, please could you post a name & number as I am quite near there.

I need to get an aluminium propellor repaired (fortunately I have a spare to use at the moment although it is smaller & less powerful)
