Please give me a little advice with the choice of a prop to be used with 1GM10 Yamar to be fitted in a 22' sailboat, I intend to a do a fair amount of motoring, because I also want to do a lot of fishing here in the caribbean with it.I am looking at a 'Perfectprop' on the web .All suggestions would be appreciated from this most helpful forum.

Additional information is needed to help you further, the gearbox ratio is required, this is on a plate on the side of the box.

Also make sure it is a 1gm10 and not just a 1gm engine, again on the rating plate on the rocker box.

I have a 1GM10 in my 24 ft sailing boat (Eygthene 24) and the same gearbox ratios as yours. We have a 12" x 8" 2 bladed folding prop which gives us just over 5.5 knots at about 3000 RPM. The engine will go up to 3400 (continuous rating), but the most economical speed is 2800 to 3000. Some of our class use a 3 bladed fixed 12X8 which gives a little more speed, but the folding prop is much better (1/2 knot faster) when sailing.
