Does anyone know what the thread size may be on a 45mm shaft ?. The shaft annodes I used last year where slightly smaller than normal and one of them disappeared . Props are perfect but port prop nut needs replacing as has gone carroty . Are prop nut threads standard or will I need to identify it ? Thanks for any help , trying to get back in for Easter .

Is the nut going pink or are fine holes developing and going crumbly when you put a spanner it, either way signs you need to check your anodes, shaft brushes and do a continuity test.

Being a British builder shafts are probably imperial, inch and three quarter so check first.

Your nuts are probably a standard thread , talk to Clements they can advise and supply, normally PDQ.

So Andy, you checked your nuts and one is slightly pink in colour. to be honest mate, I'd be more worried about the other one and pay the docs a visit. :)

Cannot help on the thread other than to advise, it would probably be best raising the question in the lounge rather than the mobo section

Thanks for the replies , with the help of Ropewalk at lymington have identified thread and Clements marine sending new one out Monday .

Gary.. Doctor said pink is ok but blue can be a problem ;)
