Hi fellow formunites.

Can someone please assist - I recall recently reading a thread that included cleaning the props and shaft whilst the boat was out off the water @ Sealift using a spray product - can anyone please point me in the right direction as I am intending to have the hull washed soon and would like to clean the props etc at the same time.

Thanking you all in advance - Terry ;)

Starbrites Boat Bottom Cleaner perhaps. I have just used this on my outdrives and props-pretty strong stuff -wear strong rubber gloves if you use it

I use B&Q Brick & Patio Cleaner, £9.98 for 5L, because it doesn't have a 'marine' handle on the name.

Wear gloves and eye protection as it is quite vicious.

I brush it on with an old paint brush, watch the barnacles fizz for 5 mins, then hose off. Usually need 2 applications, then job done!
