Having just followed a tractor for a couple of miles with an vast assortment of vicious spikes and things sticking out of the back, I just think it rich that we have to cover our props.

How come builders vans window cleaners etc , can get away with a bit of tatty rag tied around the rear of their ladders, lengths of timber etc?
That's when they can be bothered!, and yet a trailered boat must have a bag over the prop?

Why do we need Prop Bags was a Question I asked a Large Boat Dealer years ago.....His Reply was:

Boats are a luxury, and cost precious money. Now if someone ran up in to a Farmers lorry you would appologise and run. If you run into a boat you think 'person with money' and sue them! If you have a bright prop bag it reduces the chances of a successful case being brought against you. (Note: I taste popcorn for a living and am not a lawyer type person)

Well I do live up north where having a car with a tow bar is a luxury and where my next door neighbour has just got this great invention called Central Heating. So a boat gets comments of ‘cor that’s nice mate’ even though it had just cost £1500 off Ebay!

Have fun all
