Hi all. Does anyone have any ideas on how to promote a website for crew opportunities. I have now come to the point that it’s give up sailing with the family or try and offer crewing places with a difference. We are trying to give the crew a holiday and not just sail miles and miles without stopping and having any fun. Not to say that mile building isnt any fun. So its day sailing from island to island from Borneo to the Philippines with a stop in Puerto Gallera for Christmas. My website is www.stornmdodger.org. I would appreciate any feedback or advice on mistakes I am making so long as they are helpful and informative

Thanks

Are you paying wages? Or expecting to be paid? Or inviting a cost share? Or what? You should be mentioning this first. It`s not obviously on the website either. Thanks for clarifying cheers Jerry.

Thank you for all the replies. Yes I should have checked the link. Yes my spelling is not the best and I should have used a spell checker.

Yes it is shared costs but more than the £15 a day, which only covers food. I will check the website again to meke sure all the pages are loading. It comes under the page costs. Maybe I should rename it.

Thanks

It would be worth creating a link in the text on your home page to the costs page. You also should add in destinations etc, think search engines - what would someone type in to find you? Maybe think key ports etc, be more verbose (any logs you can put up?) in your text. Get your cruising buddies to give you a back link or better post an article on their blog with a link to you. Im sure some of the popular sailing blogs would support you aswell if you dropped then an email. Maybe try lonelyplanet.com, go back and edit your post and tell people where you are, what your doing, add your URL with describing into your signature. Good luck.

I'll pop a link up, all helps....
