The best thing was this seat for the rear. It started out like this:

And now it looks like this

I used a vinyl spray dye made by VHT. Its amzing stuff and has changed the colour of the upholstery in only 2 coats. Looks really good too.

Anyway hope you like and heres to a good season for us all :)

that's more than the average bit of elbow grease. Nice details - have lots of fun when you get back on the water !

Lovely tidy job you've done there, nice to see the old girl looking sparkling again.

Did you have to do much mechanical wise or just a bit of spit, polish and elbow grease!

I hope you don't mind me poking my nose in, but on the instrument panel you have some kind of "Bracket" on the far right hand side, not sure what it's for but those two lugs caught my eye...not sure if you can do anything but I just have a feeling that in the future someones gonna grab the hand rail when it gets a bit lumpy and perhaps damage their fingers/wrists.

...I've just looked again..I'm assuming that's so you can put a pad lock through it to lock the cover down for the instruments.

...sorry for being a nosey parker...I've got a toddler so I'm always looking out for things that could cause a problem...

not to worry

Those sticky up bits are for a padlock but its a big hinge so folds down on itself when the cover is off.

Not much mechanical as it was all done before all though now got to fit a new impeller re my other post!

Thanks for the kind comments

Very nice refreshing job. And interesting machine, too!
Is that an OMC outdrive mated to a diesel engine, or am I mistaken?
Never seen one before.

That's why I was asking. It is not an OMC drive, at least not like the OMC Cobra that I used to have, so was curious as to what drive it is. Could it be Yamaha?

Hey Neale

Its a yamaha me420sti to a hydradrive leg. The cam cover says toyota but everything else is stamped with yamaha. Maybe it got changed at so point and they stole it from a landcruiser.

Impeller change went well considering and feels cool. Couple of lumps out of the vanes so good knows where they are. Preety big bits so hopefully the strainer will pick them up. We shall see.

Out tomorrow proper so see if anything goes wrong;)

Ah I see. It's an interesting colour for a Yamaha, or even a Toyota come to that. I know that Yamaha used the Toyota engine for their Marine range but curious how it ended up yellow.

Still looks like a great bit of kit. Shame you are no longer Solent based. Could have borrowed it for a cruise. Mind you, if you were still Solent based, I would probably also borrow you :D

I'm feeling the love. Never say never. I may make a return and assist with my extensive french vocab "wee...trent Bateau monsuwer";)
