Project 31

Hi everyone

I am in the process of purchasing a 1973 project 31…the boat is in very good condition for its age with ford diesel engines recently serviced and the boat was antifouled and polished this year. With a new boat safety certificate until 2015

I was just wondering if any owners could pass on any good tips on these boats I am new to boating so any help and guidance would be great.. The boat has no navigational equipment or radio at he moment, is there any packages anyone could recommend or best places to purchase for discounts etc..

Many thanks

Mark

hi,

i had a 1971 project 31, i totally re-furbed the inside and out, fitted a bowthruster, electric anchor winch an she was like a new boat.

she had 2x 107 perkins with enfield drives and topped out around 8 knots, and that was trying all sizes of props, i'd expect yours to touch 12 max with tranny engines..

she was a good boat and i really wish i'd have kept it now lookin back, hell i even had a dream about her the other night..lol

we went absolutely everywhere on that boat, and i used to run all year on a couple hundred quid. she plodded along nicely on the sea and handled really well when it kicked up a bit, felt really stable..

if you have half the enjoyment i had in mine you won't be dissapointed.

incidentaly it was called solitaire and moved to nottingham area if anyone sees it.

technical data sheet of the Project 31

Hi

I`m the proud owner of a "Project 31", built 1972. Currently I am using the boat in Spain. Does anyone know from where i could get a"technical data sheet" of the boat ? Or where I could apply those document?. I bought that boat last year from en english gentlemen and he handed some doc`s, but a technical data sheet not. And now, the Guardia Civil (Coast Gard) here in Spain wants to check that doc.
And does anyone know how these document look like? I have neither heard nor seen those document

Thank you in advance.

Regards

Thomas
