About 2 months ago I sold one boat and bought annuva, now, I had a choice, buy it finished, or buy it needing painting, alot of painting, in fact, everything needs painting. So as I have got nothing better to do, I paid the lower price and bought it unpainted. Its wood and its had nu deck and nu cabin ruuf and nu bulkheds and lots of other nu timber too, so u see, it does need lots of painting.

I did say I'd get some digi photos on B1's boat park, but I cant be arsed.

Anyhow, last monday, I sanded, last tuesday I sanded, last wednesday I sanded and as a special treat I did some priming, thursday I varnished and friday I varnished, saturday the boat painter came and put the final top coat on the cabin sides and transom in dark blue as they shud be on a Fairey boat. And they are now very shiney, in fact as shiney as a shiney thing in a shiney competition on a particularly shiney day.

This week, on monday I undercoated, tues and wed I worked on the landrover as it had an oil leak worse than the one in spain, yesterday I sanded and undercoated, today, I sanded overhead which is horrid and then I undercoated.

tomorrow, I'll have a hangover, so I'll do a little bit of undercoating, Sunday, I'll have a really big hangover cos its big D's party and they'll be lots of hot totty (no I wont tell you where it is) so I'll remove the masking tape and I have to get drunk again sunday at a lunchtime thing that will end in a drunken mess.

I expect that monday will dawn, and I'll be sanding or maybe, undercoating.

It's a hard life, being a wooden boat owner - but how come you don't have to go to work as well?- You can't be on the dole if you can afford someone to paint the top=sides!
