We have seen the importance of checking in the engine bay after a service well I go a stage further and prior to the service I mark each filter with a blob of paint and also impeller bolts especially those hard to reach ones.
Ask the mechanic to put all the old bits in a plastic storage box so you can keep as secondhand on board spares.
then you can see at a quick glance what the lazy git hasn't done.
I saved over £800 last year.
