My fishfinder has stopped working, so one more excuse for catching nothing, but it also acts a useful depth gauge.
Problem appears to be a faulty 50/200 transducer. I think that is used to 'tick' loudly but now you have to hold it to ear to hear anything. I am not sure whether this means that one of the frequency sounders is not working, but I get no depth indication on the screen at all. Does anyone have any idea about how I can test whether or not transducer is working?
Also boat is out of water and because I do not have a 10ft deep bath, can anyone suggest another method to test?
Alternatively, is there anyone in the Exeter area with an FF240 that I can plug into?
