Problem with new bowthruster

I just had my yacht relaunched after having had a new bowthruster fitted by the local supplier. The bowthruster developed a fault within the first few days and no longer works. The supplier verified that the motor need to be replaced which requires the yacht to be re-lifted and stored ashore for a few days.

Who is expected to pay the extra lift and relaunch costs?

Is this of discovering defects of new accessories after relaunch a common problem and how is it normally resolved?

Thank you.

Why do you need to lift the boat to change the motor on the bowthruster or is it one inside a pod that fits under the boat.

The motor on my Sidepower thruster fits on the top of the thruster leg and can be removed from inside the boat. Unless its something else thats faulty and they want the boat out so they can send the whole thing back.

how come this post comes up as

"Problem with forward sonar" ?

New user, problem with copying and pasting.

Besides, my question is more around the liability over the cost to re-lift and relanch rather than the technical issue that I am not qualified enough to discuss.
