Pro Splice

Stumbled across this way of splicing a hard thimble into 3 strand rope last night, and it worked very well for me, so I thought I would share it.

Looks like it has advantages over the usual splice.
Just one question - what is a cuntline? as in 'Otherwise, it is OK to cut the strands now if you just leave a little brush sticking out from the cuntlines.'

The cuntline is the groove between the strands of the rope. Not to be confused with.........
