I own a Prout but sailed a Priv 42 back from the Channel Islands recently and was impressed. Seemed a bit faster than my Prout (most things are) but certainly felt safe, seaworthy and easily handled. The build standard was excellent and the mechanical and electrical systems were well organised and of good quality. If you are looking for a cruising boat rather than a boat with racing performance then I would certainly have one on my list. Not that it is slow, but the accent, as with Prout, is on safety, seaworthiness and comfort rather than all out performance.
