A friend and Princess employee very kindly invited us to the family fun day to celebrate 50 years of Princess.
Luckily the forcast of rain couldn't have been more wrong.

On display was this Marine Projects 31, one of the very early boats. Apparently bought as a wreck and given the full treatment. It was, for all intents and purposes, a brand new boat.

The hull was wrapped with pictures of the employees.

Princess provided free pasties, popcorn, water, ice cream, kids rides, etc etc...

A tour of the 43 production line. Nice Seakeeper... the way forward, surely.

Some of the bigger stuff at this plant. Note the resin infused hull in the background, presumably not going to be white?

Our friend had blagged us a trip out on the 72 but it had stab problems so they cancelled. A bit gutted but he hopes he can set it up again for one weekend.
Anyway, thanks Princess for a great day. :D

There is a Project 31 in Bristol, was owned by an old boy called Ron, Captain Ron as we knew him is sadly no longer with us, his boat, unrestored looked almost as good as that MP offering.
Is it now for sale?

I don't know what the plans for the 31 are. The chap I was there with seemed to think it wouldn't be sold and was going to be used for PR.
The finish was superb. Worth seeing in the flesh.
