"Boat requires some GRP work, please call for further information."
Sounds expensive /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Looks like £25k 'ish expensive!!! How much GRP work can you get done to a boat for that much money? It must have a fairly serious issue....

Ah rightio - guess it's a good idea to spend the money on a survey rather than get a surprise later on down the road.

Can you share details with us or is it top secret?

Yes, there was no problems and it speaks volumes to the professionalism of Essex Boatyards. Sadly they dont have anything else that tempts us (within our budget anyway) but when they do I will have no hesistations about doing a deal again through them.

I genuinly beleive EBY didnt know about the few issue the survey turned up, and as you can see from their web site now they are aare they are not trying to cover them up in any way.

If you are looking at a boat they have in stock, I think its safe so say you can buy with confidence that they will do the right thing every time.

How dissappointing was watching with interest could you not have got the necessary work done and finished up with a real bargain?

Possibly, but wasn't something we wanted to get involved with..

Prefer to look around elsewhere /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We are not really looking to get involved in fixing up a boat. While buying used, we still want a turn key package as much as possible.

I am sure someone with a bit of GRP repair experience will pick up a good deal, but we would have to do it using commercial people paying commercial rates so it isnt for us.

Interesting that the price has gone back up to £90k and is now showing as sold on the eby site.

lol really some options I think
1) sold as as somone else was on the waiting list
2) they will fix it and sell it repaired
3) retired from the market and should return in begining season, when people bugger off less to some problems
