Down in Ramsgate over weekend and had a quick look for the barge.Appears to have gone,absence confirmed by raggie over in lounge,perhaps the old girl has gone over to France ?

'e were on Radio4 this morning and said they were popping across to France "for the day".

I assume the broadcast was live (or nearly so), so perhaps he's 'twixt ports.

Last I saw of Princess Matilda (that was the actor's barge wasn't it?) was bouncing off harbour walls whilst on a round Britain trip or something.

If he is "popping over to France for the day" it must be a lot faster than it looks or a very long day! I hope Dover coastguard have been warned.
