Bought a Princess 55 -89 w. TAMD122:s 450hp.
Any suggestion for best props? I seem to lack a few knots
with 24,5 knots on the top.
Also interested to know if there is any good source that supply spares, refit etc supplies for this boat?
Is there an owners club?

Before you start chucking away loadsamoney on new props, check first whether the engines are pulling their max RPM in accordance with the Volvo spec and that the hull/props/tabs are clean. Secondly, check that the speed log is correctly calibrated or are you checking by GPS?
Are you in the Med, in which case you should expect a speed reduction
In any case, 24.5 kts for such a large lump of a boat with 900hp does'nt sound too bad especially if it's loaded with equipment

remember speed and draught for that matter are calculated with an almost bare boat, half tanks, half water. So if you aren't achieving the brochure's spec. don't be surprised. Once you add your gear plus a couple of tons of wife's clothes and cosmetics the speed drops dramatically. 24.5 sounds good to me. One other thing, the slightest nick in your props can knock a whack off your speeds. If you want to add a bit more speed and your engines are well worn in, add Molyslip to the engine oil. 3-5% of volume. It works for me and others who have tried it plus you get better fueld consumption.

Thanks to all of you for good advice. Actually I wasn't that dissatisfied with the perf. until somebody told me I should be.
There is a small scratch on one blade that I suspect cause some minor vibs at certain rpms. Next winters issue. I have
1100 hrs on the engines. Now I'm on my way to check the
cosmetics inventory belonging to 1 wife + 3 daughters. That
should give an other knot until I top up the bar for next weekend which is serious partytime in the Baltic area where
I am located (=Midsummer +13 C, raining, not much snow and ice though, yet)
