As anyone put a 240v socket in engine/lazzerette space on a Princess 43 please? Just wondering how you lead the wiring from saloon before we start on the job.

Hi, I did this on my V39 last year, took a spur from the main board in the engine room, added a breaker and waterproof socket, two hour job.

Thanks ben 331. We havnt got a board in engine room all the breakers are on the dash in saloon. Princess suggest a spur of a socket wiring in saloon. Only for a tube heater. Just wondering if anyone as actually done it to save a bit of head scratching??

On my Princess 56, I have a socket installed in the engine room and the wire went back to the socket in the crew cabin so it was an easy run.

Thanks for that. Bit different set up but I think we are going to do it similar, from the galley socket. My fault, I should have thought of it in build it would have been a lot easier.On my Princess 56, I have a socket installed in the engine room and the wire went back to the socket in the crew cabin so it was an easy run.

Cannot believe they don't put it in as a standard feature on all UK boats!

Totally agree. I thought it would have been standard. We will get it sorted in the end, hopefully without too much of a problem.
