Great news for Princess. Are you seriously suggesting that Fairline are at risk of closure next year! Surely not for this quality British brand. You cannot visit a marina in the UK or Med without seeing several models.

You have kinda answered your own Q 30, 34'37 40 ,and 55m+ is the growth area
It's got nothing to do with quality ,it's all about lack of Brit buyers - below 60 ft - that's you- me everybody on this forum ,we have stopped buying at home ( in enough numbers ) due to " general economic " downturn .It's also grim in the EU .

That leaves emerging markets to hold on to or get into to kinda cross compensate .

Lads in the factories are not too bothered where the boats go or how big - as long as sales team keep bringing in orders .
 
I would not look to much into those prizes without taking away nothing from the boats mentioned above.

They are to make it short a recognition to how much adverts you make with us, and how much more you can make.

Still the Princess 40 M did a good job I think they sold like 8 of those so far with two only delivered so that is a huge feat.

Each company who is owned by an Investing Financial Institution are all at risk since they just see a quick buck in boating, something which is not their anymore since 2009.
Are not also Sunseeker and Princess in the same boat to this.

Fiancially one of the big builders I would thrust in Europe at the moment is Azimut at the moment for some important reasons.
1) It is still owned by the founder who manages the company with dedication and an innovative spirit
2) They have a mixed portfolion of refit yards and marinas apart three brands
3) They have quite a clean sheet AFAIK
4) They have nothing to do with the Stock Market, unlike Beneteau for example

IMO once a company is owned by a FI I already start seeing Orange.... Thats about it!

If, and I say if, another UK mobo builder is at risk, then it is probably Fairline. Their turnover is substantially down in the last 5 yrs (despite jfm's best efforts!) and their inland Oundle facility does not allow them to move upmarket and build larger boats as Princess and Fairline have done. But I suppose it really depends on whether their current owners and their bankers are in it for the long haul or like Sealine, will just pull the plug if/when the financials get a bit trickier
