Its a Maxum and yes I am aware of all its short comings and I wouldn't defend them blindy unlike some.
Its my first boat to learn on and once I am happy to upgrade to something bigger I will and it won't be a BROOM regardless of how cosy it is up in that little cockpit and how ever many net curtains you can hang in one ;-)
I dont defend them blindy I merely point out the merits and shortcomings when found, in an attempt to
remove the blinkered stereotyped (cosy helm net curtains etc) opinion some people have of these boats.
In the end its all a matter of individual choice. I also like the Maxum 3000 as it happens and will be looking for
a Fairline Targa or Princess V series when I go to the med, because these suit the cruising conditions in the
med more so than a Broom where one does'nt need the shelter or the extensive accomodation.
The Princess & Fairline or Maxum for that matter, suit fast blasts around the Costa Del Sol.
