I have been looking at De Groot steel boats and the general rule seems to be the bigger the cheaper!! A 32 foot boat is often as much as, or more than, a 40 foot boat. Anyone know why??

<font color=blue>This is only a guess. Could it be that being smaller they are cheaper to park up? BTW. A similar situation exists with a Broom 35 European and a Broom 37 Continental.

Could be - I had wondered about that but thought that the big jump in benefit (i.e. more living space) outweighed the increased mooring fee. Mind you, I s'pose it depends where you are moored - on the Broads fees are reasonable when compared with the south coast!
