We are looking to buy a new heavy duty rig (everything included - standing and running) for a Hallberg Rassy 45. How much should we approx. expect to pay?

Thanks in advance

i think you had better start getting quotes. sounds like you might be going for something special, this is an endless question. All depends on types of fittings etc. Why the heavy duty, with the HR I would have thought it was designed to mach the boat/Hul. There was a report in one of the mags saying peaple add heavier rig than design, adds top waight and over stress to chain plates, ect.

Hi
We have a 44ft ketch cutter rigged motor sailer. Our main mast is 55 ft tall so may be similar to yours.
We recently replaced our old masts and went for all new standing (10mm wires except on the mizzen) and running rigging (except staysail and genoa sheets) including all bar one of the bottle screws etc. The total cost would have been around £5500 including VAT without discounts.
I'm not sure where you are but we used Fox's Rigging at Fox's Marina, Ipswich. They did a very professional job and I would recommend them to anyone. Their number is 01473 695128.
Not related other than as a satisfied customer.
If you want any other info, please PM me as I have some more detailed figures from the original quote and may be able to extract the main mast info out of that for you.
Cheers

Southern Spars provided me with the costs for a Sigma 33 - bit smaller than your obviously and but all spars and rigging came in about £7k
