Anyone know who's it is? Whilst I would never want to own one myself (to much varnishing etc) I do appreciate seeing these lovely old boats out sailing.
She's a Heard 28. One of the Gaffers&Luggers Fleet. But the owner is not a GALA member unfortunately.
They are very low maintenance boats. The hulls are GRP. My own is GRP hull with the rest teak. The only varnish is on the spars. They come in different flavours, mine "Aeolus" has a small doghouse and is mostly (teak) flush decked.
Great photo, but were you not on the wrong side of the channel? Or is my recall of Emsworth not as good as it was ten years ago. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
