I have a pressure washer for my flags and the car etc. But I saw a guy on our marina a while ago with a really small one (washer that is) he has since left so can't ask were he got it from. Anyone got any ideas as to were to purchase a very small ideal for cleaning boat pressure washer.

Makro, Halfords, Argos etc. all have small ones, but as already noted, size is important.

little ones have low pressure, and the motors are only designed for short periods of use. I burnt my small one out using it for little jobs around the boat, and now have a much bigger one that I bring down when needed.

I dont think the machine you have, qualifies as a small unit That designation really is for the 100 bar and less units selling at sub £100 /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

A friend of mine has designed a 12 volt pressure washer and had them manufactured in China. He trialled the prototypes and the first production batch is now on its way to the UK.

They are designed for salt and freshwater - I think it is a great idea for marine use.

I recently bought one from Somerfield for £19.99 and it works a treat.....was a bit of a struggle taking the slime off the hull but everything else got blasted to kingdom come.....

Had another look and they had all gone but there might still be some around....they are a hideous yellow colour and identical to the B&Q one for £29.99

Try your local Esso garage.Bought a 120 bar unit for 19.95,Ideal if you have like me an itsy bitsy little boat that only takes 10 mins to clean up.
Not super powerful but will dislodge that slimy black muck that has been lurking behind your rubbing band for the last 20 years and allowing it to dribble down the side of the boat messing up the bit you have just spent 2 hours polishing.

Karcher pressure washers are very good,
It is worth spending a bit extra as the cheap ones don't last.
Also remember to drain it after using it, I had one for car cleaning at home etc,
left it in the shed, frost got to it, result totally boll*x*d
