SWMBO's birthday is fast approaching and I have in mind to buy her something really special. For her boat. Tee Hee.

Thought about a good scrub down for her bottom, or getting her well oiled, or cleaning out her tubes to make her go a bit faster, but all these seem more like normal maintenance jobs. Then thought of something to make her look really pretty. So ordered one of Haydn's burgees, but that seems a bit mean, just one little pressie.

Then had the bright idea of asking you lot.

So what's the best pressie you've ever bought your favourite female?

Re: Presents for - serious answer

Why not take a week or twos holiday alone in some sin City out East (not Norwich - somewhere like Bangcock). Wear yourself out sexually. Then come back refreshed with some new ideas this will pep up your sex life and she will thank you for it.

I resemble that remark <G>

Awww TCM, I'm not a "netty" type just trying to keep up with the Steadman/Maxleys/Jones of the world. JFM and self auctioned off your thermos cap in the OBOE last night - got 50p and a wooden nickel - which is quite rare and handy I believe!

All TLAs (three letter abbriviations) used are IMHO common usage - execpt for NWGOI - which means No Warranty Given Or Implied - seeing as most of wot I post is drivel.

If all goes well I will meet a man in a back street pub tonight (cheeky) and he will give me loads of papers the keys for MVIII...

Barry D.

IMHO & FWIW, NWGOI.

God, its not 9am yet and youre rambling already....wot the hell has TLA (THREE) letter abreviations got to do with IMHO (four) and swmbo (five).]
Anyway spose jammy way you got rid of mvII and found mv3 wiv 2 diesels mudst be making you pretty light headed so some excuse but if youd listened to us all at the beginning youd have gone straight to mv3 and no losses financial or stomach contents involved.............

Re: Hurrah!! MV3

ooh, where is it then? And did u have to move MV2 (don't think so)...oh, and make sure that once out chichester you go south to fairway buoy and not zipping off left or right where there's no blimmin water. Proceed thence to a place called TheFollyInnForLunch and then consider StayingInYarmouthOnSaturdayNight. Tell everyone for the next n years that you have a novice crew so you get a decent (an easy) spot and loads of help.

My advice start with small presents and stay with small presents. Once you start on the rocky road of present escalation you are in deep do do.

I once bought her a car ( I really could'nt think of anything else and I set the finance up to come out of her account ;-) )
And from then its been a nightmare of trying to better last years.

Take my advice, flowers from Granada Services- perfect and if you really have to take her out theres nowt wrong with Brewers Fayre/ Harvester anything else is a waste. ;-)

Re: hehe

I wasn't gonna say all that too much! BUT I am most impressed that BarryD + 1.5 family dept got on smal boat in freezing Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb and thought oh yes this is the life for us!! They must blimmin love it. Or be mad.

I think you're all missing the point or perhaps I was being a bit vague or obtuse. I'm after a present for her, that'll also be for the boat.

So come on, flowers and days out or chocolates are not it.

Thought of nice new carpet last night, but there must be something more exciting.
