Hopefully taking the plunge this weekend in buying a boat. I have located a site to store it, in Gosport on drystack at a premier marina, I understand that if I get an introduction by a member already, we could both save up to £500 so anyone want to take me up and try and save £500 :)

You said it - UP to £500 each.

It's all down to boat length.

I recommended a chap last year, but was only in for £100 as his boat was just under 10 metres in length.

From memory, the boat needs to be 18+ metres in length to get the full £500.

Can't see that sitting in the dry stack at Gozzy :-)

Just in case you don't know, the drystack at Premiere Swanwick marina is now fully built and getting closer to operational. It wasn't much different in price from Gosport.

Also, as Cham pointed out to me, the drystack at Hamble Point (MDL) have had a signifiacnt price reduction.

That's a useful recommendation - unless you live in or near Gosport, I'd take Swanwick every time - although you have to trundle down the river to get to the sea, I'd rather do that than be stuck in traffic down the A32 from the motorway to Gosport (I've been a berth holder in both places).

Agree with this... unless you know the quick route avoiding 90% of the traffic lights, your be sat in traffic. we berthed in Gosport for about 6 years only advantage for us being a raggie was the quick exit across the channel..... for a mobo and drystack boat I'd much more enjoy the motor out of the Hamble of a weekend.... but watch for the Hamble scramble. it can be like the M25 on a summers day. Gosport used to be cheaper than swanwick and hamble point.

Thanks guys/gals Will see what the discount is, They have offered me already £200 but I will hopefully get more for both of us.

As long as I have a boat The rest can be sorted out over the first year. The Hamble would actually be closer to where I live, however. have family in Pompey so will try that first.
