Just had my 2014-2015 contract renewal through from Chichester. It's gone up by over 11% this time around.

The last two renewals have been pretty much on the rate of inflation, so I'm not entirely sure why they think an increase of so much above the inflation rate can be justified.

Anybody else had similarly sharp increases?

I'm in Portsmouth and mine increased by 6.2%; I'd check to see if they made a mistake

It's to pay for the blimmen key tags :nightmare:

If you are permanently birthed in the marina do they give you one that lasts a year. They're a PITA

Bet there has been a thread on this already, do all the Premiers have them...

Go to Portland, do a deal. Best marina on the South Coast.

I'm sure it's very nice, but a 120 mile trip down on Friday evenings after work doesn't sound like a relaxing start to the weekend. Aren't options around there a bit limited? You can zoom round to Poole going Eastwards but going West, you've got to navigate past the dragons around Portland Bill and then you've got the uncharted expanses of Lyme Bay.

Plenty of dragons off St Albans too!

Move. There's plenty of room elsewhere.

Yes please encourage everyone to move to somwhere cheap probably got to be France as most of their marinas are municipal owned and not capitalist swine who charge whatever the market will bear at anuy location.

How unreasonable to let supply and demand dictate the price. Now where can I demand a higher salary!!

After complaining and threatening to go and find a hole in the water somewhere else, they've offered me a "loyalty rate" which is slightly less than last year's rate.

Two cheers for them. It's good that they've reduced the price, but it would be nice not to have had to be snotty to get it.

Well done! No need to be apologetic/regretful of negotiating a better deal.

You could always get some medical training and exercise supply and demand economics when you come across someone having a heart attack - or would that be immoral?
