Working on the good ship Ballena today, got the trim cylinder refitted, and decided to take the props off so that I could get at the leg drain (VP SXDP Drive). I personally have not removed the props for 3 years, to my astonishment I discovered around 20 prawns stuck up the exhaust behind the forward prop. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Not sure how long they have been there but they were nice and pink so well cooked!!!

What the worst thing that you ahve found lurking your legs, or anywhere else come to think of it?

Right - you've done it now. You've got me going again. All on a peaceful Sunday morning as well.

Prawn cocktail eh? That's nowt compared to my Moules Mariniere. When my boat was surveyed prior to me buying it, the surveyors opinion of the 290 DP's was that they were in great condition.

Err - no they weren't! Having got the boat to Porthmadog, the egineer found (amongst many other problems) that both bellows were knackered, and inside both legs were a whole adult serving of mussells and other crustacia.

Still a sore point 3 years on! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Well - anywhere else.
I used to do a lot of photgraphy for Civil Engineering projects.
In one particular treated drinking water reservoir (I don't think I should say where) when they drained it down to refurbish the lining they had to shovel the dead frogs out of the water outlet. There were literally hundreds.
This is apparently not unusual.
