Praise where it\'s due

Following message received after placing an order with JG Tech today -

We are out of stock of the 70a Split Diode at present and it will be several days before we receive new stock. Therefore we are sending you the 90a version at no extra cost.

Nice people!

No connection other than as a satisfied customer etc.

Re: Praise where it\'s due

Your lucky ... I e-mailed them for information on a Mamba drive unit which I was told was required to fit a autohelm on my boat. Described my boat to get their input on which unit I required along with installation info etc. and they replied to ask me for the Mamba drive part number !!!???

Re: Praise where it\'s due

No I don't think it's luck, and certainly not defending them, but when I had an issue with a product a year or so back, I telephoned them, as they suggest on their website :

"Get free advice on alternators, regulators, generators, batteries, amp hour meters, inverters, chargers, galvanic isolators, wind and solar power, shore power, distribution panels, lighting and more..
Call us on 01305 787788"

and the item was exchanged for a different spec model without fuss.
I have continued to use them for various electrical bits ever since and have always had good service.

It would appear that in line with a lot of companies, telephoning will get a response where emailing may not - dunno why.

Same would seem to apply to Jimbuoy's comment.

Sorry, but used them recently and ended up cancelling the order. No returned calls, broken promises, no communication. Absolute, complete and utter rubbish. Donate your profit to those who deserve it, not this crowd.

Re: Praise where it\'s due

I can only speak as I find.
I have cited one example of exemplary service from a company that I feel is worthy of recognition.
If a good reason for posting on this forum is to help and inform others, then those who wish to express a contrary view to any post should not make simple unqualified and therefore potentially misleading statements.
Let's have some more detail so we can make up our own minds as to which party to the failed transaction is complete and utter rubbish.
