Recently purchased a yacht with an icom 411 unit that I discovered would receive but not transmit - the unit was 3 years old. On searching the web this seemed to be a known issue. I contacted icom who asked me to return the unit for foc repair - they responded to my email in 2 minutes if me sending it.
Unit now returned in no time at all installed and working perfectly.
OK the doubters would say it should not have broken in the first place. I prefer to say that the quality of a business is how well it responds to a problem and I give 10 out of 10 to icom for ease of contact and speed of response.
