Well I've done it now. Two pairs of nice shiney PowerTech equivelent of B6 props turned up today care of Coastal Rides. Will I regret not sticking to VP for the sake of 100 notes? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I've just got two new sets of Volvo DP C5's stainless for £1000 which I think is a good deal?

Result!

Coastal Rides have SS props half price at present. I was offered C6's for £550 per pair. Was half tempted, but others on this forum have talked about them eating anodes and that if you strike anything instead of the prop taking the damage it can also result in damage to the outdrive. So decided to stick to Ali's. Don't know whether I should have stuck to Volvo Penta though. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hi,any chance you can let us have a progress report on these props,as i am sure there are many of us thinking the same thing(saving money)i.e. how they perform, doe's the paint stay on&any increase in speed, regards m m 1.

Blimey, that is good. Can I ask where from?
I've been quoted £450+ for the front prop alone /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Got them from this guy CLICKY

Have powertec B5's on my boat and they seem fine but then I have nothing to compare them to as the old Volvo DPs were wrecked when I bought it.
May be all hot air but I was told that the water police, I think on the Thames but may be wrong, had trialed them and changed to them, supposedly as they had better resistance to dinks and bangs.
