Those guide prices look amazingly cheap, the engines alone would be worth that as coffee tables not to mention the surface drives on the back. Are they even close to right?

I was wondering exactly the same. I think they would get more than the guide prices if they were put on ebay

I'm not terribly au fait with auctions, but I was wondering if they publish low guide prices in order to attract more people to register to bid in the hopes of getting a bargain, which would help give the auction momentum in the early stages.

I'm half tempted to register myself just in case one or two of these things actually do sell that low. The first time I bought something at auction i'd turned up just to watch what happens but something I took a fancy to didn't generate any interest so snapped it up (without any buyers remorse).
