I've got a problem with my power steering on my boat. I own a Glastron SX 175 with a Volvo Penta 3.0GL engine and SX drive unit. The problem is that to steer to the right the steering is really hard to turn while to steer to the left the steering is really soft and sometimes turns on its own. I checked the fluid level and looks ok. There are no leaks during the line. Can anyone please help me with this problem. I already spoke to some person and they told me that the problem could be that i have some air passing through the oil but since i dont have any leaks i wonder from where the air is entering the system. Any help please?

Thanks

I would first check that the cable is secure where it attaches to the servo cylinder, if its loose it will affect the shuttle valves operation which controls the oil supply to the servo cylinder. Also check the cable where it joins the steering arm.
