Hi all.
The battery charger aspect of this box seems to be failing. Whilst on mains shore power my batteries are not charging, and I am having to resort to starting the engine to get a charge in. I have tried to find some info/docs on this unit to no avail. I presume its French as it looks like an original fitting to my Beneteau 323. The green POWER ON LED no longer lights, although the 240V circuits both still function correctly. When I get the time I'll disconnect it and pop the cover off in the off chance there is a fuse within.
Any info on this would be appreciated.shore power box 2.jpg

It is probably exactly what it says on the tin so likely there is a simple battery charger wired permanently to the mains distribution panel inside. If it cant be fixed you could just buy whatever charger matches your requirements and wire it in and keep the distribution panel part of this or replace the panel with a smaller one.

here is a modern equiv: Marine Chargers, Batteries | Dolphin, the best for your boat

I have just been through this with one on my Beneteau 331. Did not seem to be getting any charge out, just voltage of 12.8v. However in your case if green light not on maybe an input side issue. There are two fuses inside but in my case both were OK and no obvious "blown" components. Will check the power transistors sometime, but as the output was low for my extended battery bank anyway, I have actually replaced the whole thing with a new consumer unit and a 25A Victron charger located near the batteries (so ran a 230v cable from my new CU).

Here are page from manual:

And here are photos of innards (but with outputs disconnected).

Hi all. We have just changed battery from the traditional lead battery to an AGM-battery. Do wee need to adjust something in the Power First box? Best regards Jens /DK

There is no adjustment visible in the box, nor instructions for changing output levels.

Hi Ithet. I’d really like to read that manual and can’t find it online anywhere. The pages you posted here become blurry on opening to full size. Could you forward a link or email me the manual if you have it handy? Thanks. Carlos
