i remember at southampton boat show, there was a company demonstrating a motorised trailer.

it used an electric motor that dropped down onto the trailer wheels and allowed the trailer to be powered out of the water.

the motors were marinised/watersealed...

does anyone know the name of the company, or have contact info?

cheers, steve

Hmm 1200 quid for a couple of leccy motors and remote control thingy. Obviously these things are aimed at people who keep trailered boats in a "boat park". But surely a small second hand tractor is cheaper than this. If a few people "chipped" in a few quid one could be purchased for next to nowt. Better for launch/recovery imo.
Seen these before. They're ok on nice smooth slips and hard'ish sand. Anything approaching "rough" and they're not that good.

simmilar thoughts!

just an idea i was floating around as a spin-off from a project.

i could tell you what it is, but not on here... feel a pint coming on?

i'll pm anyway ref another point.

cheers, steve.

Yes, few people chip in and they get a tractor, a while a go I wanted a camper van but did not feel like shelling out for the whole lot, I thought if I could find five people that wanted to pay a couple of grand we could have something half decent, I couldn't find them, so pointless post oops.

got the pm but your box is full.....oooh missus! Yup can be about. Will prob be about this w/e on my tod tho as the wiffy and kiddies are doing some sort of show. Typical Lisa will do a show for total strangers but when it comes to doing one for me.....anyway I digress. When is this happening?
