Bit scary to be onboard when someone is trying to get in....

Shame the local rag can only post a generic picture of boats to support their story....

It's a horrible experience, we had thieves board us our first night in Tidemill, they climed aboard to steal the dinghy, they were busy untiying it when I appeared on deck and in my best army voice shouted "Oi you", at which point one fell over and the other jumped off. Nasty bit was he turned round and said "see you later". The police were very good, came and took fingerprints. Marina chappies were less supportive and Holly was all for moving straight out.

That's horrible. I haven't been up to the Tidemill for a few years but coincidentally was planning a trip there at the end of next week. What's it like now- Lazy Kipper's remarks are not reassuring! I will have a rather fiesty Jack Russell aboard so intruders beware!

It was 4 years ago. A Jack Russell would have been useful!

We were boarded at Ipswich Haven Marina some years ago; my wife said somebody was aboard (I thought likely story) I went to open the cabin door & there was obviously a person's hand on the handle trying to open it towards me; he jumped off and ran down the pontoon & I didn't even see him. Very frightening though.

No, got one of those. Wouldn't mind a nice small outboard. Maybe a nice varnished ensign staff. Oh, and a fenderstep.
