I have been having problems posting to the this IPC reader site. It apears to be a cookie proble with some versions of Windows and Explorer. Using Opera I apeare to be OK. But once I reload IE 5,5 or 6 after first loging on I no longer have access to add post on existing posts. With out doing this I can't add a new post!
If this is happening to you you clearly can't reply to my post (unless you are using Opera) but it may be worth letting the webmaster know so they have a better idea of the scale of the problem.

The problem I have is with two different PC's. A one using 2000 Pro with IE5.5 and the other XP pro with IE 6. The 2000 PC was new some two weeks ago replacing a PVC using Windows 98. It was only then the problem started. The XP PC replaced an old PC using 95 and again there was no problem with the old PC. Both PC's have cookies enabled and with the XP PC the problem appears to be nonexistent with Opera only in IE.

As an addendum, I now find on the 2000 PC I can now create new posts and replies. The problem may have been resolved at the IPC end as I haven’t made any changes at this end.

We've changed nothing our end.

Users do experience problems with IE6 which turns off cookies by default...the only surefire way of ensuring they are enabled is to set them manually in custom settings part of internet options.

Very occasionally we've had a user with a corrupted cookie; throwing away the ybw one and starting again is the easy answer.
