Re: Wow - I\'ve won the lottery without actually being in it.

There must surely be some mistake? I won this lottery 2 weeks ago. I've will have spent it mate, as soon as I get it, so you are not having it back any time soon. All I had to do was give some darkly ethnic bloke in Amsterdam Railway Station a 600 quid administration fee, and me bank details to put into. S'easy. I was a bit concerned that there were only using pay'n'talk mobiles, but that was part of their efficiency drive. Good on 'em looking after the punters cash like that.
I was curious about their backing, but apparently some Dutch engineer pegged it in a dreadful accident in Nigeria about 5 years back and left 100 million dollars unclaimed in an account. Well, The Chief Accountants wife and her Solicitor Advocate General friend set up this charitable Lottery trust, and so its as safe as houses. No question.
Sorry you don't look set to collect then. Always next time though , eh?

Mine was the same wording but the amount was €200,000 and the agent was in Holland. Iasked them what the scam was but strangely I didn't get a reply!

Well done, let's cut out the midleman Bevan Avenue is just up the road from me so I can go and collect the cheque for you if you like!! It's a residential street not offices so I'd love to know what the people who really live there think of this.

Re: Sorry...

...only half a million?

I have "won" three prizes this month 1. 7 million euros 2. £2 million and 3. £1.8 million.

I also had a phone call from some Yank to say I had won $200,000 yesterday afternoon, and that it is waiting for me in an account in Texas.

Nobody at home

I did go round out of curiosity. I expected some kind of derelict property but it was a tidy recently renovated bungalow, with a fantastic view. Unfortunately nobody was in to hand over the dosh so I'll just have to shelve the new life cruising the world for another year...

Can you imagine what it must be like for a scam like this to choose your address as a virtual address. The owners have probably fled abroad.

Re: Wow - I\'ve won the lottery without actually being in it.

Sorry to upset you pessimist, but you are not entirely alone, so let's cry together!

Cos, my wife keeps winning all these prizes, and wonders why I refuse to join her on the "free canaries" holiday where she just had to pay the admin fee of £102, I think that is the nearest to a "pize" she has yet won, but I am not attending the brainwashing sessions, wihout which the holiday fee is recalculated.

If she does collect any of them I can comfort myself that my cyniscism will not stop me from enjoying a prosperous future as her hanger on.
