I\'m here

Sober as a ybw forum user (I think the expression goes). On and off the stand a bit but I'll leave my number on the stand in case anyone wants to meet.

We're down in the north hall near the entrance to the east hall (the one with the broken but nearly fixed pool in it).

Re: Preview Day - LIBS

Was there today.

Agreed - lay out seems a lot better. Not a rabbit warren as was the case in Earls Court.

Bit dissapointed with the preview day atmosphere - seemed to be very much geared towards the "blue blazer brigade".

As usual the best stand was the Guinness one!

Re: Preview Day - LIBS

Yup I was there also... Braved the M25 South about from Bracknell 1hr 20 mins each way in pouring rain.

The parking was a bit confusing and I was'nt the only person to be driving around in circles... Finally got parked on a bit of concrete wastland by the side of LCY Airport in the middle of a big puddle and had to wait 10 mins in the rain to get on 50 yr old Routmaster just like what I went to school on... What must our EU cousins think of us!!!

The show was good but I wish I'd spent a further (and exhorbiant) fiver for the show guide. The 2 pages I'd torn from Yachting World were useless, and few of the stands had numbers on them it was difficult to navigate.

Interestingly when I entered the carpark CP5 the girl said that the charge was 5 quid payable on exit... when I left there was no one there to collect, so I could have afforded the show quide after all!!

Over all better that Earls Court but a bind to get to for us from the west.

Nick
