Possible saving on servicing?

It now sounds like we may be locked down until October. My small mobo has only recently been relaunched after anifouling and having the engine and drive serviced. If she stays moored unused in brackish water until later in the year will I still need an annual service come next lift out? Can I possibly save a penny or two aftera wasted season?

Ultimately its personal choice. When I worked in the aircraft industry we serviced components on the earliest of time, landings or hours used.

Personally, I will be servicing everything as don't really want mechanical failure 20 nm offshore or in the middle of a TSS.

The only servicing that I pay for is on my honda 30. If it gets little use this year I will change the oil and filter myself and leave it at that apart from trying to put some fogging oil in.

I don't think anyone quite knows how long it will be.

I could be tempted to leave the oil change (someone will be along in a moment to explain why that's a bad idea), but I'd want to replace, or certainly check, the impeller before starting the engine. I snuck off to the boat to get her ready to sit unattended for a while just before lockdown, and one of the things I did was to pull out the new impeller I'd fitted a week earlier.
